Abstract nouns Names that are used to represent states of mind or feelings are called as abstract nouns. These are words such as we can see, hear, smell, touch or taste. Examples of such words are courage, confidence, love, ambition, pleasure, ecstasy, rage, desire, greed, hope, courage, etc. The use of the abstract noun in sentences 1 - We now have the infrastructure to satisfy this desire. 2 - Hope to see more of him in the future. Collective nouns The words that are used to define a group of objects are called as collective nouns. Objects can be people, animals or other things instead.
