The first Taiwan Mall in Zhejiang Province opened in Xiangshan Shipu Strait Square on 4th July. The old name of Strait Square is Fishing Port& Ancient Town Square. It occupies a total construction area of 20,000 square meters and enjoys an investment of 188 million RMB. The Strait Square has been co-developed by two Taiwan businessmen, Chen Changfu and Ke Shouxiong, whose ancestral home is Shipu. Their goal is to make Strait Square a business and trade complex including food, shopping, traveling, culture and folklore in Taiwan and an exhibition centre of the communication between Taiwan and Mainland China. Currently, over 20 Taiwanese Enterprises have entered the Strait Square including Mary Leu Fine Art Carving Gallery. The department store and food &cosmetics retail store started trial operation in June.
