Many of the cases under this field are settled outside of the court and come about due to the efforts of the family lawyer to keep an amicable atmosphere and a balanced or fair outcome. Foremost in the mind of the legal representative is the good of the people involved in the case. Children in particular are to be the topmost consideration when it comes to cases such as divorce or separation. It is also the lawyers responsibility to be loyal to his or her client once they have been hired to deal with the issue. This means that there is a legal obligation to look for the best avenue that will benefit the client or the unit that the attorney is representing. A fair or balanced outcome is also preferable to many legal professionals.
