Health and safety should never be compromised no matter what the job is. This should always be the first priority, that is, not only of the workers on the job, activity or project, but also to all people involved and the general public. A health and safety plan is not merely a plan that provides a tip or two on how to prevent an accident and what to do it the inevitable occurs. It is a detailed plan that includes everything there is to consider when working on a project. Developing a template is concerned about creating a template that will show every detail of a health and safety plan. When developing such, consider the precision and the weight of the plan. It would be the reference of everything that has something to do with health and safety. Thus, it should be direct, consistent and thorough. It should include the name of the project, the people involved and those who will be held accountable for whatever may occur. It should also have an introduction to the plan, the scope of the plan, policies to be followed, the officers involved, the need-to-know for workers in the site of work, details of accident or illness, inspection dates, an appendix for the documents that will be attached and whatever else is deemed necessary. The body of the plan should discuss the health and safety programs and how these will be managed. Importance of a Health and Safety Plan Template - Occupational Occupational hazard is a factor considered in high-risk jobs. When a person works at a graveyard shift, or at a construction site, or at a chemical plant, etc., there is almost always an occupational hazard which the Health and Safety law requires to be compensated for. A template is a document that is used over and over again and provides a plan that is geared towards promoting health and safety at work. It is towards decreasing the possibility of accidents and illnesses despite the foreseen and easily predicted danger at the workplace. It must be able to show that the company is concerned with the well-being of its workers and/or agents. The wellness of these people is a vital factor to the success of a company. For one, without these workers, any business will fail to operate. The workers are the heart of a company. They pump lifeblood in the entire operation and a malfunction in one area is detrimental to the whole body. Another reason why there should be a health and safety plan template is that a company has a moral and legal obligation to keep its workers healthy and safe and that failure to do so due to negligence or malicious intent is a ground for many legal actions that would cause the company to lose money from litigation and the business to fail or be disabled for a period of time. Thus, the template for an occupational health and safety plan should be necessarily complete to cover all known and foreseen hazards in a work.
